Phase 3 Resources

This page contains free, printable Phase 3 Resources for the DfES Letters and Sounds phonics teaching programme. All the letters and graphemes for phase three are included, in various formats, large and small. The decodable words for phase three are also provided, on plain cards and as a truck theme. Sentences and yes/no questions suggested in the scheme can also be downloaded.

	Phase 3 Letter fans These letter fans can be assembled using a paper fastener. This set contains all of the sounds for Phase 3.

	Phase 3 Letter Fans in Cursive Script This Phase 3 letter fan is just the same as the one above, but in a cursive script. Digraphs and trigraphs are joined where appropriate.
	Phase 3 Letters and graphemes with rainbow borders This set of small cards, six to a page, contains all the letters and graphemes for Phase 3.
	Large Phase 3 Graphemes in rainbow colours This set contains all the letters and graphemes for Phase 3, one letter to a page for classroom display.
	Large Phase 3 Graphemes plain This set contains all the letters and graphemes for Phase 3, one letter to a page for classroom use.
	Phase 3 Words on trucks This set contains all the decodable words for Phase 3 (50 pages of A4). Duplicates are included for looped and straight k.
	Phase 3 Words with rainbow border This set contains all of the decodable words introduced during Phase 3 (297 word cards on 50 pages). Two versions of the letter k, looped and straight, are included.
	Phase 3 yes/no questions (set 6 letters) This set contains ten cards with the yes/no questions using letters from sets 1 to 6.
	Phase 3 yes/no questions (sets 1-7 letters) This set contains twelve cards with the yes/no questions using letters from sets 1 to 7.
	Phase 3 sentences This set contains sentence cards using letters from sets 1 to 7, plus the tricky words "he","we"and "she".
	Phase 3 Tricky Words This resource contains word cards for the tricky words introduced in Phase 3.
	Phase 3 Tricky Words on Trucks The tricky words for Phase 3 on colourful trucks. These are the same size as the rainbow border cards above, so it's easy to combine the two styles to make matching games.
