Phase 4 Resources

Here are our free, printable Phase 4 Resources for the DfES Letters and Sounds phonics teaching programme. All the decodable words suggested for phase four are here, on plain cards and as a truck theme. Sentences and yes/no questions suggested in the scheme can also be downloaded.

	Phase 4 word cards with rainbow borders This set contains all the decodable words for Phase 4 (237 cards on 40 pages), including two different styles of the letter k - one straight and one looped. If you prefer, you can download the words in smaler sections below.

	Phase 4 words on trucks This set contains all the decodable words for Phase 4 (237 cards on 40 pages), with different styles of k.
	Phase 4 CVCC words (Sets 1 to 7 letters) This set contains the decodable CVCC (consonant, vowel, consonant, consonant) words which use the letters which were learnt in Phase 3.
	Phase 4 CVCC words (using Phase 3 graphemes) This set contains the decodable CVCC (consonant, vowel, consonant, consonant) words, including the Phase 3 graphemes.
	Phase 4 polysyllabic words This set contains the Phase 4 polysyllabic words for decoding. Duplicates are included for looped and straight k.
	Phase 4 CCVC words This set contains all of the decodable CCVC words for Phase 4 which use Sets 1 to 7 letters.
	Phase 4 CCV and CCVC words This set contains the Phase 4 decodable CCV and CCVC words containing the graphemes learnt in Phase 3.
	Phase 4 CCVCC words This set contains the CCVCC words from Phase 4 which use Sets 1 to 7 letters.
	Phase 4 CCVCC, CCCVC, CCCVCC and polysyllabic words This set contains the CCVCC, CCCVC, CCCVCC and polysyllabic words from Phase 4 which use the graphemes taught during Phase 3.
	Phase 4 Tricky words This set contains the tricky words for Phase 4. Straight and looped style k both included.
